Child Advocacy Center (CAC) Director

Description
The CAC Director leads the CAC in providing comprehensive services to child victims of abuse and their non-offending caregivers in conjunction with a multi-disciplinary team made up of law enforcement, Forensic Interviewers, administration and agency partners. In addition to forensic evaluations, the Director oversees mental health services that are provided to victims and their families.

The Director will also act as the Forensic Interviewer responsible for conducting forensic interviews of children with concerns of sexual abuse, severe physical abuse and witness to violence.

This candidate should have excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, in person and on the phone, particularly when working with and building rapport with distraught family members and multidisciplinary partners.

The Director is responsible for day-to-day management and oversight of the center staff, policy implementation, program development, agency partnership and promotion, interagency collaboration, and financial planning and oversight of the operating budget.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a Human Services field.
  • Minimum of three years’ experience providing mental health treatment for child trauma victims.
  • 3-5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
