Wilmington Optimist Benefit Ride to support BGHNC set for July 9

The Wilmington Optimist Club Benefit Ride for Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina is scheduled for Saturday, July 9, 2022.

There is a $10 registration fee to ride. Registration for the event begins at 9 a.m. that morning at Pirateship Powersports, 5625 Market Street, Wilmington. The 42-mile open ride will begin at 11:09.

All proceeds go to support the programs of BGHNC, a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a continuum of care to meet the physical, emotional, mental, behavioral, social, educational, and spiritual needs of children, youth, and families in distress or at-risk.

“We are excited about this first time event,” said BGHNC President/CEO Ricky Creech. “It is because of the support we receive from events like this, in addition to the support of individuals and civic organizations, that allows us to provide an environment of care that promotes health, healing, and hope.”
