MAY 31, 2024 -- Get ready for a night of dinner and dancing all for the great cause of supporting the work of Carolyn's Kaleidoscope Child Advocacy Center to care for child victims of sexual and physical abuse and neglect at the Kaleidoscope of Hope Soiree 5:30 p.m.-8:30 p.m. May 31 at The Spillway, 1252 Mill Pond Road in Whiteville, NC. Come enjoy a buffet dinner, dancing and a program to learn more about the important work of the CAC in the three-county area.
A program of Boys and Girls Homes of North Carolina, the CAC team meets with child victims and non-offending caregivers to help heal children from the traumas of sexual and physical abuse, and to increase prosecution of offenders. The CAC team works with multiple agencies throughout Bladen and Columbus counties to assess victims, provide post assessment services and assist law enforcement, enabling victims to find safety and cope with the negative emotions, thoughts and behaviors to reduce substance abuse, incarceration and behaviors leading to dependence on state agencies.
