Civitan Day was a success with more than 30 Civitans including Whiteville Civitan Club, New Bern Civitan Club, Hawfields Civitan, North Raleigh Civitan and many more Civitan International Members clubs from across North Carolina.
Civitan members toured their cottage for teen mothers and their babies and campus then had a delicious grilled lunch in the fellowship hall. We even had a visit from a special rubber ducky (a ducky costume worn by BGHNC board member Kim Sheeks) to advertise our FireQuacker 3000 duck races in the East and West of our state on Aug. 22 at the Winston-Salem Parks and Recreation lazy river and on Sept. 6 at @Jungle Rapids in Wilmington.
